Measured with this same tool and its sample template for this sheet; the result with your text and your code may vary a little. “Module” is the width of the thinnest bar; the recommended one is 0.33 mm for EAN-13 and 0.25 mm for Code 128.

When printing this sheet

Remember to choose Letter paper in step 3. It leaves about 13.5 mm at the sides and about 12.7 mm at the top and bottom, with about 14 mm between the two columns. At 16.9 mm tall, one large line of text fits; a barcode is possible but tight: a short Code 128 comes out with bars of about 9.6 mm and a 0.30 mm module. For many folder labels, use “Many labels” mode and paste the list from Excel (one row per folder).

Frequently asked questions

What size is an Avery 5366 file folder label?

87.33 × 16.92 mm (3⁷⁄₁₆ × ⅔ in), with 30 labels per sheet in 2 columns by 15 rows, for Letter paper.

Does a barcode fit?

A short Code 128 does, with bars of about 9.6 mm and a 0.30 mm module, though tight. An EAN-13 has 9 mm bars and a QR comes out at 9 mm, too small to scan well.

How do I make labels for all my folders?

Switch to “Many labels” mode, type or paste one row per folder (for example, “Invoices 2026”, “Payroll”) and one label is generated per row, all on the same sheet.

Does it work for A4 paper?

No: it is for Letter paper. On A4, the Avery L7651 (38.1 × 21.2 mm) or the Zweckform 4780 (48.5 × 25.4 mm) are the closest small labels, though shorter.
