The 3424 has 12 labels of 105 × 48 mm (2 columns by 6 rows), with no gap between them. It is exactly half the width of an A4 sheet (210 mm), so the two columns cover the sheet from side to side. It is a roomy label: it holds a long name, a large price and a barcode with a generous module all at once.

Measured with this same tool and its sample template for this sheet; the result with your text and your code may vary a little. “Module” is the width of the thinnest bar; the recommended one is 0.33 mm for EAN-13 and 0.25 mm for Code 128.
When printing this sheet
It leaves about 4.5 mm at the top and bottom and 0 mm at the sides: horizontally it covers the whole sheet, so many home printers will clip some of the left and right edge. The tool keeps a 2 mm inner margin, but you should print the Test sheet on plain paper first. If your printer doesn't reach the edge, increase the inner margin in step 2.

Frequently asked questions
Which barcode fits on a 3424 label?
Any of them with lots of room: an EAN-13 comes out with a 0.89 mm module (the recommended one is 0.33 mm) and about 26 mm of bar height with a name and price; a short Code 128 has a 0.68 mm module; and a QR almost 40 mm on a side.
What is the difference between the 3424 and the 3474?
The label size: the 3424 is 105 × 48 mm (12 per sheet) and the 3474 is 70 × 37 mm (24 per sheet). The 3424 has room for twice the content per label.
Does it work for shipping labels?
For small parcels and envelopes, yes: 105 × 48 mm holds a sender, a recipient and a code. Carriers that require a 100 × 150 mm label need another format (a thermal roll or a larger sheet).
Does the sheet have margins?
Only at the top and bottom (about 4.5 mm). At the sides the label reaches the edge of the paper, so you need a printer that prints close to the edge or a larger inner margin in the design.
